It’s time for the screenplay portion of MIFF’s 6th annual “Tie Up Loose Ends” short film competition. This two-part competition allows viewers an opportunity to see a variety of films spawned by the same unfinished script. The resulting film interpretations are as varied as they are creative and entertaining.
The Screenplay competition begins NOW, with a deadline of January 15, 2021. The winning entry will be used as the basis for films made by multiple producers – each charged with creating their own unique conclusion for the unfinished script and “tying up the ending.”
The winner of the Screenplay portion will receive a copy of Final Draft, the industry standard scriptwriting software. After screening at MIFF 2021, filmmakers submitting winning entries will receive prizes for the Best Production and Best Ending of the finished films.

NOTE: The 2021 TULE screenplay submissions MUST be producible in a manner such that social safety guidelines, as they apply due to the Coronavirus pandemic, can easily be followed.
