It’s time to get your creative juices flowing and draft your screenplay for the 2022 Tie Up Loose Ends (TULE) contest. The entry deadline for next year’s screenwriting contest is JANUARY 17, 2022. Submissions should be sent the Screenwriters of Brevard (SoB) – Eric Emerick at esquared14@gmail.com
WHAT IS THIS CONTEST?
This is a two-part contest, beginning with the Screenplay portion, that calls for submissions of scripts — UNFINISHED SCRIPTS!! Submitted scripts must be less than 3.5 minutes (about 2 ½ – 3 ½ pages) and have “loose ends” that need to be “tied up” during the 2nd part of the contest. There are several rules for each portion of the contest so please be sure to read all the details. The rules are easy to follow, but please contact the SoBs at the email address listed above if you have any questions.
After a winning screenplay is chosen, the 2nd portion of the contest begins. Others will formulate endings for the winning script and produce a finished film of 5 minutes or less for submission into the MIFF.
As you can imagine, this contest allows for many different interpretations and conclusions and serves as a special treat to the audience.

HOW DO I SUBMIT?
Follow all TULE RULES when crafting your script.
Choose locations easily available to all filmmakers. Develop a story that may be filmed in a day, on a limited budget. Keep your screenplay brief—allow plenty of time for the filmmaker to complete a 5 minute film.
